Not the internet kind of read but the book kind of read, reading a book doesn’t just help you sleep but can actually help you relax a bit. It can clear your mind, can reduce stress level, and helps you focus. You might notice yourself getting sleepy and your eyes suddenly starts to get droopy. Although we don’t recommend this to book nerds because instead of making them sleep, they will stay awake all night even in the day too. 

  • Music

Music is really good in terms of helping yourself sleep and ease our mind. It can actually somehow heal a chronic disorder like insomnia. Relaxing music like the genre LO-FI or Buddhist music can also help you meditate. But if ever music doesn’t help you then we recommend cancelling all noise that can be heard. 

  • Naps and Caffeine

Naps and caffeine should be avoided during the day because it can lead for you to not properly sleep at nighttime. Naps can lead to sleep deprivation, can lead to limited physical activity, and some tend to have a chance to become overweight. While caffeine makes us more alert and being alert in nighttime is unnecessary unless you are trying to stay awake not trying to sleep. So, it is very important to distance yourself from these things because it doesn’t just help you not to get stress but helps you not gain weight too.  

  • Write and Talk

One of the reasons why we tend to not sleep during the nighttime is because of thoughts running in our brains. These thoughts can cause anxiety, stress, and a disturbing feeling. In order to prevent these thoughts, writing or making a journal to express all the emotions you had that day can really help. Talking to someone and not keeping it by yourself can also help. 

  • Meditation and Exercise

Doing meditation and exercise during the day can make yourself get tired and just want to go to bed. Meditation provides balance or harmony to both your body and mind. Exercising helps you to not just sleep but also helps you not gain weight which is a bonus but be mindful that too much exercising can also lead to complications. Doing these activities can help you make time to yourself and make you relax too.
